Christopher Perrin, Founder

Christopher Perrin, MDiv, PhD, is the CEO with Classical Academic Press, and a national leader, author, and speaker for the renewal of classical education. He is the author of An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents, Greek for Children Primer A, The Scholé Way: Bringing Restful Learning Back to School and Homeschool, and co-author of The Good Teacher: Ten Key Pedagogical Principles that Will Transform Your Teaching, as well as the Latin for Children series.

Timothy House, Editor

Timothy House graduated from Biola University’s Snyder School of Cinema and Media Arts, where he wrote his senior thesis on the spiritual and philosophical dimensions of M. Night Shyamalan’s filmography. He is a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors College, and by day he teaches character and leadership to elementary students in the greater Los Angeles area. A lover of all things theology, cinema, Star Trek, and Survivor, he lives in the city of Orange with his wife.

Timothy Lawrence, Senior Writer

A graduate of Biola University’s School of Cinema and Media Arts and a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors College, Timothy Lawrence started writing for FilmFisher as an undergraduate in 2014 and never stopped. His essays have been published by the CiRCE Institute, the Anselm Society, VoegelinView, and others, and he regularly posts short reflections on Christianity, culture, and the classics at The Usual Subjects. He taught Great Books in the classroom for six years and has lectured on the moral philosophy of Star Wars to both high school and college students. He explicates the poetry, symbolism, and sources of Star Wars at The Jedi Archives.

Christian Jessup, Regular Contributor

Christian Jessup is a filmmaker and critic, using his unique perspective on film evaluation to explore the intersection of faith and cinema. A member of the North Carolina Film Critics Association, he is also an award-winning composer for over 20 films. Christian regularly contributes to Arts & Faith, the Vulture Stunt Awards, and his own blog, A Cloudy Picture.

Travis Kyker, Regular Contributor

Travis Kyker received his bachelor’s degree from Milligan University and a master’s in liberal arts from St. John’s College, which he uses to recklessly overcommit to lots of reading groups. A writer, watcher, filmmaker, and displaced snowboarder, Travis currently lives in Maryland where he teaches middle schoolers, drinks coffee with novels and Guinness with Plato, and occasionally sheds a tear listening to Bob Dylan.
